Ingredients

 
1 16-ounce can pear halves
 
1 16-ounce can cling-peach or apricot halves
 
1 20-ounce can pineapple slices or chunks
 
6 Maraschino cherries, each cut in half
 
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
 
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
4 teaspoons curry powder

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Drain fruits thoroughly. Meanwhile, in shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole in oven, heat sugar, butter or margarine, and curry powder until butter is melted. Remove casserole from oven.
2. Place fruits in butter mixture in casserole; gently stir to coat. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour. Serve warm from casserole as accompaniment to roast pork, ham, lamb, or poultry.
