Curried Fish Steaks Recipe
Ingredients
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |

| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Small, sliced | |
| Boiling water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Steaks | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Fish stock | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), strained | |
| 1/4 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk | ||
| Curry powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
Directions
1. Add the salt, pepper, bay leaf, vinegar and onion to the boiling water.
2. Wipe the fish steaks with a clean, damp cloth, then wrap in cheesecloth and put them in the boiling liquid. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the fish to a hot pan and leave it in its cloth wrapper until it is ready to serve.
3. Measure 3/4 cup of the fish stock after straining it. Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan, blend in the flour and slowly add the fish stock. Bring to a boil, stir and simmer 3 minutes. Add the cream and curry powder, stir and heat 1 or 2 minutes.
4. Remove the fish steaks from the cheesecloth. Place them on a hot platter and pour the sauce over them. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
