Curried Chicken Recipe
Finding a nice Curried Chicken recipe is like hitting a jackpot, congratulations you have just hit one. The flavor of Chicken makes this dish all the more appetizing. This is the most comforting Side Dish recipe I have come across. Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 stalk celery, diced
1/2 bay leaf
Sprig of parsley
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tart apple, peeled and diced
1/4 pound raw ham, chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon mace
1 1/4 teaspoons or more curry powder
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
3 cups cubed, boned raw chicken
Directions
1. In a large kettle heat the butter, add the onion, garlic, celery, bay leaf, parsley, mustard, apple and ham and cook eight minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the flour, mace and curry powder and cook four minutes longer.
2. Add the broth and simmer, covered, one hour. Rub the mixture through a sieve and return to the saucepan. Add the chicken and simrner until tender, about ten minutes longer.
