Ingredients

 Water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2/3 cup quick cooking barley
 Carrot1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Onion1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
 Curry powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/8 Teaspoon
 Toasted sliced almonds1 Tablespoon

Directions

In a medium saucepan stir together water, barley, carrot, onion, bouillon granules, curry powder, and salt.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or till barley is tender.
Stir in almonds.
