Curled Wafers Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Fruit sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), cooled | |
| 1 teaspoon rum, or almond flavouring | ||
| 1 teaspoon coarsely grated orange rind | ||
| 1/2 cup toasted almond slices, optional | ||
Directions
Beat egg whites and sugar until white and stiff.
Add flour, butter, flavouring, rind and nuts to mixture.
Drop 1/2 teaspoons of batter, well spaced, on buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 5 to 6 minutes.
Remove from sheet and place over a rolling pin until cool and curled.
