1) Wash the shrimps and drain.
2) Sprinkle shrimps with salt and pepper.

3) In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger, scallions and garlic.
4) In skillet heat oil and sauté shrimps for 1 minute.
5) Add the ketchup mixture to the slikket.
6) Simmer for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

7) In a cup mix cornstarch and water together.
8) Add the cornstarch mixture to the shrimps and cook for 2 minutes more.

9) Serve hot with a lemon wedge on side, if desired.
