Simple Cumberland Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Red currant jelly | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Port | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Juice of 1/2 lemon | ||
| Juice of 1/2 orange | ||
| Lemon | 2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Orange rind | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Prepared English mustard - 2 teaspoons | ||
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
| Cayenne | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1.Heat currant jelly until melted.
2.Add port and juice of lemon and orange to it and stir well.
3.Put grated lemon, orange rind, mustard, salt, pepper, ginger and cayenne and mix well.
4.Refrigerate.
SERVING
5.Serve chilled.
