Indian Cucumber Raita Recipe Video
A great way to cool down a spicy Indian meal.
Ingredients
½ cup plain yogurt
½ large cucumber peeled
A few cilantro or mint leaves as garnish
Spices
Pinch of toasted cumin powder
Pinch of chili powder
¼ tsp salt
Directions
Dry toast cumin seeds in a wok or small pan.
Crush the seeds into a powder using mortar pestle and set aside.
In a medium serving bowl, add yogurt.
Grate cucumber into the bowl and gently mix.
Fold in salt.
Sprinkle cumin powder and chili powder into mixture.
Add additional cumin powder and chili powder on top if desired.
Garnish with mint or cilantro leaves.
