Ingredients
| Cucumbers | 42 | |
| White onions | 16 Large | |
| Sugar | 8 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Celery seed | 1 box | |
| Pepper red | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Tumeric | 8 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 3 Quart |
Directions
Slice cucumbers and onions and let stand overnight in 1/2 cup salt to 3-quarts of water for every 12 cucumbers.
Drain well, but do not rinse.
Sift flour, sugar and seasonings together and combine with vinegar.
Add cucumbers and onions.
Cook slowly over low heat, about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
It scorches easily so watch carefully.
Add chopped pimento if desired.
This recipe can be easily made in smaller quantities.
Makes 21 pints.
