Cucumber In Dill Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
Coarse (kosher) salt
1 medium cucumber, unpeeled and sliced thin
1 teaspoon dehydrated onion flakes, reconstituted in 2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 recipe Mayonnaise Sauce ( count 1 fluid ounce evaporated skimmed milk and 1 tablespoon mayonnaise), or 1/4 cup buttermilk and 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (see note)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
Freshly ground pepper
Dash artificial sweetener
Minced dill (fresh or dry) to taste
Directions
Sprinkle coarse salt over cucumber slices and let stand 30 minutes.
Wash under cold water and dry lightly between paper towels.
Combine in bowl with remaining ingredients and serve at once.
