Crystal Tofu Recipe
Ingredients
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon (Dipping sauce:) | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon (Dipping sauce:) | |
| Sake | 2 Tablespoon (Dipping sauce:) | |
| 5 tablespoons dashi broth | ||
| 1 cake (10 oz / 300 g) firm tofu | ||
| Potato starch (OR corn starch) for dusting tofu | ||
| Salt | 1/3 Teaspoon (Dipping sauce:) | |
| A bowl of ice cubes | ||
| Green onions | 5 , minced (Condiments:) | |
| Grated ginger | 2 Tablespoon (Condiments:) | |
| 1 sheet nori seaweed, cut into thin strips | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) In a saucepan, heat the ingredients for the dipping sauce; chill.
2) Drain, cut the tofu into 10-12 pieces and dust them with the potato starch.
MAKING
3) In a saucepan with salted boiling water, add the tofu pieces and boil for a min; chill in cold water, drain and place in a nice bowl over ice cubes.
4) Prepare the condiments.
SERVING
5) Serve with the dipping sauce and condiments.
