Crushed Red Berry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups thinly sliced strawberries or frozen dry-pack strawberries, thawed
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup raspberries or frozen dry-pack raspberries, thawed
Directions
1 In a medium-size bowl, sprinkle the strawberries with the sugar.
Cover and let stand for 1 hour at room temperature, allowing the berries to form their own syrup.
2 Mash the strawberries with a potato masher or wooden spoon, then add the raspberries and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors mellow.
