| Broken california walnuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Chopped pitted dates | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Sugared cereal flakes | 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) |

Directions
Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture, blending well.
Stir in nuts and dates.
Drop from teaspoon into crushed flakes, rolling to coat well.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cooky sheet.
Top with walnut halves, if desired.
Bake in moderate oven (375°) 12 to 15 minutes, or till top springs back when lightly touched.
Cool before removing from pan.
