Ingredients

 Cucumber1/2
 Few sprigs parsley
 75g/3 oz walnuts
 Celery stick3
 4 dessert apples little lemon juice
 150ml/ 1/4 pint Basic mayonnaise
 Few crisp lettuce leaves (optional)
 1/4 dessert apple, thinly sliced
 Few walnut halves
 Celery leaves or lettuce leaves

Directions

Peel the cucumber and chop roughly, using the double-bladed chopping knife, together with the parsley, walnuts and celery.
Peel the apples and chop roughly in the same way, adding a little lemon juice to prevent discoloration.
Mix all the ingredients together with the mayonnaise.
