Directions

Melt 1 1/2 oz. butter or margarine in a pan.
Stir in flour and cook slowly, without browning, for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, gradually add milk, then reheat, stirring, till sauce comes to the boil and thickens.
Simmer 3 minutes, then add fish and ketchup.
Season to taste.
Turn into a greased heatproof dish.
Meanwhile, make topping by melting 2 oz. butter in pan.
Cut bread into cubes and fry in butter.
Top fish mixture with fried bread cubes, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Brown under the quick grill.
