Crunchy Pecan Topping Recipe
Ingredients
| Pecans - 1 cup, coarsely chopped | ||
| Light brown sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Butter - 3 tablespoons or margarine - 3 tablespoons, melted | ||
| Whipped cream or dessert topping - as needed | ||
| Pecan - as needed, halves, for garnish | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a small bowl, mix together pecans and brown sugar.
2. Drizzle melted butter over the pecan mixture and stir until the mixture is moistened uniformly.
SERVING
3. Spread Crunchy Pecan Topping over cooled pumpkin pie.
4. In a broiler, place the pie at about 5 inches from heat and broil for just 1 to 2 minutes until pecan topping is bubbly.
