Crunchy Mexican Turkey Tidbits Recipe
Crunchy mexican turkey tidbits are prepared with ground turkey. Spiced and flavored with chili powder, cumin and garlic, the turkey tidbits are shaped into small meatballs and coated with crushed tortilla chips. Baked and served with a salsa-sour cream dip, it has a definite mexican taste to it.
Ingredients
| Ground turkey | 1 pound | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| 1/4 cup each finely chopped onion and dry bread crumbs | ||
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 4 ounces tortilla chips, finely crushjed | ||
| Nonstick cooking spray | ||
| 3/4 cup nonfat sour cream | ||
| Salsa | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
In medium bowl combine turkey, egg, garlic, onion, bread crumbs, chili powder and cumin; shape into approximately 36 (3/4-inch) balls.
Place crushed chips on plate.
Roll each meatball in chips, coating thoroughly.
On 15x10x1-inch baking pan lightly coated with nonstick cooking spray, arrange meatballs.
Bake at 350°F 20 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in center.
In small bowl combine sour cream and salsa.
Use as dip for meatballs.
