4 cups peeled, sliced apples
 
1/4 cup water or apple juice
 
4 teaspoons firmly packed brown sugar
 
2 teaspoons lemon juice
 
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 
1/2 cup QUAKER® Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
 
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
 
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
 
1 tablespoon margarine, melted

Directions

Heat oven to 375°F.
Combine apples, water, 4 teaspoons brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon; toss lightly to coat apples.
Place apple mixture in 8-inch square baking dish.
Combine remaining ingredients; mix well.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake about 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lighdy browned.
