Crunch Top Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 medium-size tart apples (about 2 1/2 lbs. total), peeled, cored, and sliced | ||
| Unbaked 10-inch pastry shell | ||
| 1 cup each sugar and graham cracker crumbs | ||
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Whipping cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Arrange apples evenly in pastry shell.
Mix sugar, cracker crumbs, flour, walnuts, and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
Pour butter evenly over topping.
Bake in a 350° oven until apples are tender when pierced, about 1 hour.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Whip cream and offer to spoon over pie.
