Crunch Candy Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 large shredded wheat biscuits | ||
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cold milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Creamy peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Semi-sweet chocolate | 1 | |
Directions
Break shredded wheat biscuits into small pieces.
Set aside.
Soak gelatin in 1/4 cup (60 mL) of the cold milk; set aside.
Combine peanut butter and remaining milk in top of a double boiler and place over hot (not boiling) water.
Cook and stir until smooth.
Add soaked gelatin; then cook and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved and smooth.
Fold reserved shredded wheat pieces into peanut butter mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased waxed paper.
Allow to firm and cool; then dip in chocolate.
