Crumb Baked Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 broiler-fryers cut up | ||
| 1 envelope onion-soup mix | ||
| Soft bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/3 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. Remove skin from chicken, if you wish; cut away small bones from breast pieces.
2. Combine soup mix, bread crumbs, salt and pepper in a paper bag. Shake chicken pieces, a few at a time, in mixture to coat well. Place, not touching, in a single layer in a buttered large shallow baking pan.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 1 hour, or until chicken is tender and richly browned.
