Crown Jewels Recipe

Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Toppings and) | |
| Orange peel | 1/2 Teaspoon, grated (Toppings and) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Toppings and) | |
| 2 hard-cooked egg yolks, sieved | ||
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (Toppings and) | |
Directions
Prepare Toppings.
Cream butter with orange peel.
Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy.
Blend in sieved hard-cooked egg yolks.
Add flour in fourths, mixing well after each addition.
Press dough firmly onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350°F 20 minutes.
While still warm, spread with Date Topping and then Candied Fruit Topping.
Cool thoroughly and cut into fancy shapes.
