Croutons Recipe
These Croutons are what I'm religiously having for an afternoon snack since the time I ate them first ! Want to the reasons for my unflinching loyalty ? Great taste and texture ! Their crunchy feel is really mesmerizing. These Croutons are best teamed with Meringue Kisses
Ingredients
| Egg yolk | 1 | |
| Parmesan and romano cheese | 1 Ounce, grated | |
| Dash dry mustard | ||
| 1 slice day-old bread, cut horizontally to make 2 slices | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Beat egg yolk with a fork, stir in grated cheese, salt, pepper and mustard to make a paste.
Cut bread into quarters.
Heap paste on each quarter.
Bake on non-stick baking sheet at 250° F. until cheese melts, about 25 minutes.
These must be served with Meringue Kisses which follow.
