Croque Monsieur Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon, softened | |
| 4 slices whole wheat or white bread | ||
| 4 thin slices mild Cheddar or Swiss cheese | ||
| 2 thin slices cooked ham or chicken | ||
Directions
Butter bread slices on one side.
Top unbuttered side of 2 slices with half of the cheese, the ham, then remaining cheese.
Top with remaining bread, buttered side up; press lightly.
In skillet, cook sandwiches over medium heat, turning once, for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden and cheese has melted.
Cut diagonally in half.
