Ingredients
Cauliflower-1 Iarge head, divided into flowerets
Butter or margarine-1/4 cup
All-purpose flour-1/4 cup
Milk-1 cup
White wine-1/2 cup
Green pepper-1/2, finely chopped
Onion-1/4 cip, chopped
Almonds-1/2 cup, blanched and shredded
Salt-to taste
Pepper -to taste
Cheddar cheese-1/4 cup, grated
French-fried onion rings-1/2 can
Directions
MAKING
1)In a saucepan, add boiling water and cook for 15 minutes or just until tender. Drain.
2)In a small saucepan, heat butter and sauté flour. Add milk, wine, green pepper, onion and 1/2 cup water.
3)Cook until thickened, stir constantly.
4)Then, add almonds, salt and pepper.
5)Take a greased baking dish and spread cauliflower.
6)Pour the sauce and sprinkle cheese
7)Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
8)Spread onion rings and bake for 5 more minutes.
SERVING
9)Serve crispy topped cauliflower casserole hot.
