| Gherkins | 2 , chopped (FILLING) | |
| Capers | 1 Teaspoon, chopped (FILLING) | |
| 3 rashers bacon, cooked and crumbled | ||

| Extra grated cheese | ||
Directions
Sift flour, salt and pepper together and rub in butter. Mix in cornflakes, then stir in egg yolk and a little water, if necessary, to make a firm dough. Roll out on a floured surface and cut with a 6cm biscuit cutter. Spoon filling on to the centres of half the rounds, brush edges with a little milk and top with remaining rounds, pressing edges well together. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with a little extra grated cheese. Bake in a hot oven 200C (400F) 18-20 minutes. Makes about 12.
