Crisp Sugar Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Eggs | 1 Small, slightly beaten | |
| Milk | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla extract | 2 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 2 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream of tartar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt Colored Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon | ||
| Resins (optimal) | ||
| Chocolate colored decorator candle | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) Into a bowl add in the butter and sugar and using an electric beater, cream well
2) Tip in the milk, eggs and vanilla and mix well
3) Add in the flour, cream of tartar, baking powder and mix well to form a dough
4) Cling wrap the dough and place in the refrigerator overnight
5) Use a quarter of the dough at a time
6) Place the dough onto a cookie sheet and out into 1/4 inch thickness
7) Cut into desired shape using cookie cutter and remove any extra dough to combine with the remaining dough kept in the refrigerator
8) Decorate he cookies with sugar, raisins and the decorator candles
9) Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 F till lightly browned
10) Cool the cookies completely before serving
11) Repeat with the remaining dough kept in the fridge
