Directions

GETTING READY
1) Heat oven to 400°.

MAKING
2) In a 1-quart saucepan, heat butter till lightly browned.
3) In a small bowl add the browned butter and cool for 15 minutes.
4) Mix in sugar, egg and vanilla.
5) Beat at medium speed till the mixture thickens and becomes lighter in color.
6) Lower the speed and add in all the remaining ingredients.
7) Beat till well mixed.
8) Arrange 1/2 teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto a cookie sheet.
9) Flatten the dough to 1/4-inch thickness with the bottom of the buttered glass dipped in sugar.
10) Place in oven for 6 to 9 minutes or till the edges are golden brown.

SERVING
11) Serve with a cheese dip.
