Creole Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Okra | 2 Cup (16 tbs), canned | |
| Onion | 1 Large, chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), chopped | |
| 1 medium-sized green pepper, seeded and chopped | ||
| Safflower oil | 3 Teaspoon | |
| 1 8-oz. can plain or hot tomato sauce | ||
Directions
Saute okra, onion, garlic, and green pepper in the oil until onion is soft.
Blend.
Add tomato sauce, mix well, and heat.
Variation: For a thicker sauce for pizza, stir 1 tsp of potato flour or 2 tsp of barley flour (or 2 tsp of wheat flour if allowed) into the sauteed vegetables.
