Creole Style Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Creole Style Brussels Sprouts is a feast to the eyes as well as the tongue. This Creole Style Brussels Sprouts is almost something I made up literally. My daughter loves it and so will your kids!

Ingredients

 
3 tbsp (45 ml) butter
 
1 large onion, chopped
 
1 green bell pepper, chopped
 
1 garlic clove, finely sliced
 
14 oz (398 ml) canned tomatoes
 
2 cups (500 ml) Brussels sprouts
 
Salt and pepper
 
1/2 tSp (2 ml) basil
 
4 Chinese lettuce leaves

Directions

–  In a skillet, melt butter and saute onion, pepper, and garlic for 4 minutes. Add tomatoes and Brussels sprouts. Season with salt, pepper, and basil. Reduce heat. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes. Arrange on Chinese lettuce leaves and serve.
