Creamy Taffy Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light corn syrup | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 env. unflavored gelatin | ||
| 1/3 bar paraffin, finely cut | ||
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Combine sugar, cream and syrup in heavy kettle; bring to a rolling boil.
Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
Add to sugar mixture.
Add paraffin; stir in vanilla.
Cook to 250 degrees on candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
Pour mixture into large well- greased shallow pan; cool until able to handle.
Pull taffy with well-greased hands until cool and firm; shape into long pieces.
Snip into bite-sized pieces.
