1 cup rolled oats, quickcooking or oldfashioned
2 cups cold water
1/2 teaspoon salt

How to make Creamy Rolled Oats

Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler or in a medium saucepan.
In a double boiler, cook over boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes.
In a saucepan, bring to a boil, and then reduce heat and simmer gently until oats are tender.
Stir often.
