Creamy Mincemeat Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Sifted flour | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Oats | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mincemeat | 2 Cup (16 tbs), prepared | |
| Brown sugar | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Heavy cream | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), Whipped | |
| Pecans | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken | |
Directions
Sift 3/4 cup flour and salt together; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in oats; sprinkle 3 tablespoons water by tablespoonfuls over mixture.
Stir lightly with fork until just moistened; add additional water just to blend dough together, if necessary.
Form into ball; roll out on lightly floured board to 13-inch circle.
Fit loosely into 9-inch pie plate; trim and flute edges.
Spoon mincemeat into pie shell.
Combine brown sugar and 2 tablespoons flour with cream; blend well.
Pour over mincemeat;sprinkle top with pecans.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15minutes; reduce heat to 325 degrees.
