Creamy Mushroom Sauce Recipe
Creamy Mushroom Sauce is my families favorite sauce. I have been making this tasty and unique mushroom sauce for a few years now. This Creamy Mushroom Sauce recipe is fantastic.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 pound mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/4 cups half-and-half or milk
1 tablespoon dry sherry
2 tablespoons sour cream
Directions
1. In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook mushrooms until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
2. Gradually stir in half-and-half and sherry. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens slightly. Remove skillet from heat; stir in sour cream.
