Creamy Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
4 medium-size all-purpose potatoes peeled and cubed
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup warm skim milk
2 teaspoons unsalted butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Directions
1 ln a medium-size saucepan, combine the potatoes and onion with just enough salted water to cover.
Bring the water to a boil and simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Drain.
2 In a large bowl, mash the potatoes and onion with a potato masher or force them through a ricer into the bowl.
Beat in the milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
