Creamy Beef and Potato Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups Freezer Ground Meat Mix | ||
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 5 1/2-ounce package dry au gratin potatoes | ||
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Boiling water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 4 Ounce, drained | |
| Dried thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
GETTING READY 1) In a large saucepan, combine Freezer Ground Meat Mix and 1/4 cup of water to thaw the mix. 2) Over low heat, cover and simmer and cook for 15 minutes. 3) Using a fork, break up mix and cook further for 5 minutes. 4) Drain off any liquid. MAKING 5) In a 2-quart casserole, combine dry potatoes, sauce mix from the potato package, milk, 3/4 cup boiling water, mushrooms and thyme. 6) Stir in the meat mix. 7) in the oven, bake it for 30-35 minutes at 400 degrees. 8) Sprinkle cheese over the edge of casserole and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. SERVING 9) Serve as a main dish.
