Ingredients
1 pound beef round tip steak
4 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sherry
1 can (3 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
Directions
1. Cut steak into serving-size pieces. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon flour and the salt.
2. Brown meat in oil in a skillet. Add onion and garlic.
3. Combine beef broth with remaining 3 tablespoons flour. Stir into skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Put meat and sauce into a 1 2 x 8-inch baking dish.
4. Bake, covered, at 350°F 30 minutes, or until steak is tender. Remove cover. Combine sour cream, sherry, and mushrooms. Stir into meat mixture in baking dish. Bake an additional 5 minutes, or until heated through.
