Creamy Baked Onions Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 pounds small whole white onions, peeled
1 1/2 cups sliced celery
2 tablespoons flour
1 3/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons dry sherry wine
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO pepper sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °F In large skillet melt butter; add onions.
Cook until lightly browned.
Stir in celery; cook 1 minute longer.
Remove vegetables with slotted spoon to 1 1/2-quart casserole.
In same skillet stir in flour; cook 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Gradually add milk.
Stir in sherry, Tabasco sauce and salt.
Return to heat.
Stir constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 1 minute; stir in cheese.
Pour sauce over vegetables.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until onions are tender.
Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
