1/2 cup sesame seeds
 
7 cups water
 
4-oz. almond paste
 
3/4 cup sugar
 
3 tablespoons cornstarch
 
3 tablespoons water
 
1/2 cup evaporated milk
 
2 teaspoons almond extract

Directions

Stir-fry sesame seeds in a small saucepan over medium heat until golden.
Place toasted sesame seeds in blender with 1 cup water.
Blend at high speed until smooth.
Place sesame seed mixture in a large saucepan.
Add almond paste and sugar; mix well.
Add 6 cups water.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Dissolve cornstarch in water to make a paste.
Stir cornstarch paste into boiling soup.
Remove saucepan from heat.
Add evaporated milk and almond extract; mix well.
