Creamed Cucumbers Recipe
Creamed cucumbers are cucumber slices in creamed sauce. This is such an simple yet delicious side dish to serve with your summer meals. This recipe tells you that there is something more that could be done with the cucumbers and the cream sauce. Just the dish!
Ingredients
Cucumbers-2 large
Butter-3 tablespoons
All-purpose flour-3 tablespoons
Milk-1 1/2 cups
Parsley-1/4 cup, chopped
Paprika-to sprinkle
Directions
GETTING READY
1)Pare and split cucumbers lengthwise.
2)Remove seeds and dice them.
MAKING
3)In a saucepan, boil cucumbers in salted water.
4)Cover the pan and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain well.
5)Take a double boiler and melt butter on top of it.
6)Add flour and stir, then add milk slowly.
7)Cook over boiling water until thickened. Keep stirring.
8)Mix the drained cucumbers with sauce and add parsley.

9)Sprinkle paprika on top and serve.
