Creamed Spinach A La Lawrts Recipe
Ingredients
4 bacon slices, finely chopped
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt
1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder with Parsley
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen spinach, cooked and drained
Directions
In large skillet, fry bacon until almost crisp.
Add onion to bacon and cook until onion is tender, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add flour, Seasoned Salt, Seasoned Pepper and Garlic Powder with Parsley to skillet; blend thoroughly.
Gradually add milk, starting with 1 1/2 cups; cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
Add spinach and mix thoroughly.
If mixture is too thick, stir in additional milk.
