Creamed Onion Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| White onions | 4 Large, sliced | |
| Oleo stick | 1/2 | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Buttered bread crumbs | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Boil onions in salted water until clear.
Do not overcook.
Drain well.
Make a white sauce with oleo, flour and milk.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix drained onions with white sauce.
Add sugar.
Put in casserole and top with homemade buttered bread crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly.
Serves 4.
Good with ham, turkey and beef.
Men really like it.
