Creamed Dried Beef On Cabbage Recipe

| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 6 cups finely shredded cabbage, packed | ||
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 3 Ounce, drained | |
| 1 2 1/2-ounce jar sliced dried beef, cut into 1/2-inch strips | ||
| Peas | 1 8 1/2 Ounce, drained | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
About 30 minutes before serving: In large skillet, in 2 tablespoons butter, saute cabbage and salt until tender-crisp—3 to 5 minutes.
In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
Stir in flour until smooth; slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
Add mushrooms, dried beef, peas and pepper, stirring often until hot.
Arrange cabbage in thin layer on heated platter; pour beef mixture on top.
