Ingredients

 5 tablesp. butter, margarine, fat, or salad oil
 Mushrooms2/3 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
 5 tablesp. flour
 Salt3/4 Teaspoon
 Pepper1 Dash
 Chicken broth1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 c. light cream or top milk
 Cooked chicken1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg yolks2 , beaten

Directions

Melt the butter in the top part of a double boiler over direct heat, then saute the mushrooms in it for 5 min.
Blend in the flour, salt, and pepper and place over boiling water.
Stir in broth and cream, and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
Add chicken and heat thoroughly.
Remove from heat and pour slowly over the egg yolks, while stirring constantly.
