Creamed Camembert Recipe

This Creamed Camembert recipe is simply one of the best ! I served this last weekend with toasts and everyone loved it. It is no wonder they have already asked me to make it again at least twice this week! Try the Creamed Camembert for yourself!

Ingredients

 
5 oz. Camembert cheese
 
2 fl. oz. dry white wine
 
2 oz. unsalted butter, softened

Directions

With a small, sharp knife, cut the rind off the cheese and discard it.
Put the cheese in a china bowl.
Spread the cheese out so that it covers the bottom of the bowl.
Pour over the wine to cover the cheese.
Cover the bowl and leave, at room temperature, for at least 12 hours.
Drain off any excess wine and, using a wooden spoon, beat in the butter until the mixture is a smooth, creamy paste.
With your hands, reshape the cheese mixture into a round and allow it to harden a little.
Do not chill it.
