Creamed Beets Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bay leaf | 1 Small | |
| 2 cup small beets, cooked and diced | ||
| 1 env. aspartame sweetener | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Melt butter in a heavy or nonstick fry pan.
Add flour and stir over low heat for 1 minute.
Mix water with lemon juice; slowly add to pan, stirring constantly, to blend into a smooth mixture.
Add bay leaf.
Cook until thickened.
Add beets and cook until hot.
Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.
Add aspartame sweetener and salt.
