Creamed Beets Recipe

Ingredients

 Butter2 Teaspoon
 All purpose flour3 Teaspoon
 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Bay leaf1 Small
 2 cup small beets, cooked and diced
 1 env. aspartame sweetener
 Salt To Taste

Directions

Melt butter in a heavy or nonstick fry pan.
Add flour and stir over low heat for 1 minute.
Mix water with lemon juice; slowly add to pan, stirring constantly, to blend into a smooth mixture.
Add bay leaf.
Cook until thickened.
Add beets and cook until hot.
Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.
Add aspartame sweetener and salt.
