Cream Scones Recipe
This Cream Scones recipe is by a long shot my most preferred recipe. If it is an impressive Dessert that you require, then this dish is the answer. With easily procurable ingredients this Cream Scones recipe is a must try.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 tsp. vinegar

Directions
Heat griddle to moderate (if your griddle has a thermostat, set it at 300 degrees).
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
Add butter and cut in finely.
Beat cream, egg and vinegar together well with a fork.
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in cream mixture.
Mix lightly with a fork just until blended.
Dough should be soft.
Pat dough out to 1/2 inch on a floured board.
Prick thoroughly with a fork.
Cut into 3-inch rounds.
Sprinkle griddle lightly with flour.
Add scones and bake slowly until nicely browned on both sides and cooked through, about 15 minutes total baking time.
Serve scones hot with butter and jam.
