Cream And Onion Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| White onions | 1 Pound, sliced | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup Rich, Thick Cream Sauce | ||
| Dash nutmeg or mace | ||
| Cream | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon (Rich, Thick Cream Sauce:) | |
| Flour | 4 Tablespoon (Rich, Thick Cream Sauce:) | |
| Cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Rich, Thick Cream Sauce:) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Make the Rich Thick Cream Sauce by melting the butter in a saucepan and mixing in the flour and gradually adding the cream to make a smooth paste.
Heat slowly and cook until very thick.
Put aside.
Cook the onions in the butter and when they are soft mash through a sieve.
Add these to the thick cream sauce.
Season and serve over boiled or broiled fish.
