Cream Pralines Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dash of nutmeg | ||
| 1/3 cup light molasses | ||
| 1 1/2 cups pecan meats, coarsely chopped | ||
| Light cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine sugar, molasses, cream, butter, and nutmeg in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches 240° on candy thermometer or until a little syrup dropped in cold water forms a firm ball.
This takes from 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand 3 minutes, then add the nuts, and drop from a teaspoon onto wax paper or foil.
