Ingredients
2 c. canned tomato
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. fat
2 c. milk
1 slice onion or 1/4 tsp. onion salt
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
F.g. pepper
Directions
1. Cook tomato with onion, sugar and seasonings till soft.
2. Put through a sieve and keep warm.
3. Make thin tomato sauce using sieved tomato as liquid instead of milk in a white sauce recipe.
4. Just before serving add sauce to cold, fresh milk, stirring it in gradually.
5. Heat and serve at once. If you let it boil, it will curdle.
